Villa Manelli
The project started in the middle of 2017 and lasted for 18 months. This property is located in Maneli Residential Suburban in the north of Iran. The employer of this project was one of the clients who had the experience of working with our studio. According to the basic principles of their settlement area, all buildings must have red clay sloping roofs and no fences. One of our client's main requests was to have an outdoor swimming pool, which was usually impossible due to the lack of fences around the building. To deliver their demand, we describe a scenario for their project: “To reach the main entrance of the building, you have to cross a small bridge over the blue stream. After passing through, we enter a wooden box that gives the impression of a unified volume of the building from the outside, but in fact, it is the entrance to a courtyard and an outdoor swimming pool. It can be said that the idea of the central courtyard has been used to remove the limitations. Also, the whole of the sloping roof towards the main facade of the building is shown in the volume. In addition, the sloping lines aligned with the roof lines are used side facades.”
